A virtual tour is a sequence of panoramic images that are ‘stitched’ together to create a virtual experience of any location. Once created, the viewer is able to experience what it is like to be there. This virtual experience can be viewed through a VR Headset which is best for that immersed experience but can be accessed from desktop computers and mobile devices. The main element of virtual tours consists of ‘hotspots’ that are interactive and when clicked the user can transport themselves to that area of the environment to view videos, see photos, take part in quizzes, look at floorplans and even see the location from other perspectives such as the air if drones are used to take the panoramic image.

Ever since mankind has been around, we have sought after higher lands to settle, to have a bird’s eye view of our surroundings. Not only for security reasons, but also to be able to view and judge the environment, to see things before they get close, and to have a different perspective thus more appreciation for what we see. That part of our nature is still there, that desire to view things from a bird’s eye view, to look at things from up above. So to have that in a project, to show that perspective to the customers, only enhances their experience and they appreciate the scenery even more.
